We tossed around the idea of starting a cruise blog a couple of years ago.  We had been on a lot of cruises after all.  We even took photos and got some ideas for some posts together.  We did some research to try to figure out how to create a blog.  

And finally we pulled the trigger and got started.  

Posts were up.  Social media was there…and then it was suddenly not the right time to be a cruise blogger.  

The Diamond Princess was quarantined in Japan for what felt like an eternity and we just stopped.  

I’m sure we could have come up with new content, but that didn’t make sense.  It was becoming apparent very quickly that even when cruising did return it would not be like it was before.  

So we waited.  

And we waited.  

And we got vaccinated.  

And we took a road trip to the Florida Keys.  

And we waited.  

And now we have a cruise booked for the summer that we actually hope to go on.  So it seemed like the time to come back now that we hope cruising is back.  

The next few posts will be about our road trip through the Florida Keys, which we felt like made a reasonable replacement for a cruise.
