We all know that moment.  It’s late December and you need a Christmas gift FAST!  These last minute gifts are perfect for the person in your life who loves to travel.

All of these gifts should be available in a store in addition to on Amazon.  Because sometimes we are so last minute that we need the gift for our favorite travel enthusiast on the way to the event.

Or is that just me?

Insulated Water Bottle / Stanley Cup

Every traveler needs a good water bottle.  Especially if your traveler spends any time on airplanes.  You need a good insulated water bottle to get you through a flight – long or short!

Road trippers and cruisers enjoy a giant cup that keeps ice cold all day in the heat.

Regardless, of a water bottle or cup, it needs some good quality insulation!

Luggage

I realize this is kind of a big ticket item, but it is also something that you can pick up in a store or online.  There are a lot of good luggage brands so there are usually choices available even at the last minute.  I know a lot of people are very particular about their luggage, but luggage is also one of those things that sometimes having different sizes can be very helpful.

But if you are buying luggage for someone else, go smaller rather than larger. The smaller pieces of luggage are more versatile.

Airpods / Wireless Headphones

While many people have airpods or wireless headphones these days, a newly updated pair is often helpful.  Also sometimes while traveling a second pair can be beneficial!

Journal

This one is a little old fashioned, but a good journal is a great place for a traveler to jot down ideas and memories from their travels. It is also a good way to hold onto the physical items (tickets, receipts, maps) that you sometimes pick up on a trip.

Don’t forget a pen!

Travel Gift Cards

If you know the traveler in your life prefers one brand over another, a travel gift card can be a great way to give them the gift of an experience.  A visa gift card may feel impersonal, but a gift card to their favorite restaurant, airline, hotel or cruise line is a great last minute gift for someone who loves to travel.  This shows that you pay attention and care, even if you are not giving them something physical.

This is also great for people who are minimalists and don’t want a lot of physical items.  It can be hard to give someone the gift of an experience, but a travel gift card gives you a way to do that.

Travel umbrella

A tiny travel umbrella is great for travelers.  The smaller, the easier to pack.

GoPro

Another larger ticket item, but a great gift for travelers and those people who enjoy action and adventure.  A GoPro is perfect for anyone who enjoys videos, timelapses, or even photos from underwater or extreme temperatures!

Charging Cables

Extra charging cables are always so important when traveling.  An extra outlet and charging cables is a small, but helpful gift for a traveler.

Power Bank

Like the charging cables, many people have a power bank.  But a small power bank is a great gift item for someone who travels a lot.  This is one of those things that is easy to pick up in a store and is very helpful for all types of travel!

AirTag

With so much lost luggage these days, an AirTag is an essential travel item.  This is another item that can be helpful sometimes to have more than one.  They are great to put in your luggage while flying, but is also something you can put in your purse, carryon or beach bag just for a little extra peace of mind.

Dry Bag

Not something that you can necessarily grab at every store, but also something your traveler is less likely to have.  A dry bag is great for keeping things dry at the beach, but it also makes a great day bag if you have to travel in the rain and don’t want your electronics to get wet!

There are quite a few sizes and styles so you can get the one that fits your budget and travel style!

Travel coffee / espresso maker

Coffee is important. Or at least it is for people who drink coffee.  If you know the person you are buying for drinks coffee, this is a great gift for them!

Shopping for a tea drinker instead?  Check out this cute travel kettle so they can boil water on the go!

Guide Books

If you know the next adventure (or the types of places they like to go) a guide book can be a great gift.  These are easy to find in bookstores (or of course on Amazon) and make a great last minute gift for anyone who likes to travel.

There are plenty of options out there for people who enjoy traveling.
