The Carnival Pride is one of my favorite cruise ships of all time and one of favorite places on board the Carnival Pride is the Serenity Deck.
On a Carnival Cruise ship, the Serenity Deck is a 21 and up space with comfortable chairs and usually a relaxing atmosphere.
However, on the Carnival Pride, the Serenity Deck is the aft pool and it is definitely not relaxing. It has a huge pool, a couple of hot tubs, a busy bar and tons of seating.
The Serenity Deck is the place to be on the Carnival Pride!
When the weather is good outside, the chairs are full and the waiters are walking around. Even when the weather is not the best, there are some tables and couches far under the roof where you can wait out the storm.
And because it is on the back of the ship, sometimes it is slightly warmer so you can sit out in weather that would be much too cold on the front of the ship.
While the Serenity Deck on the Carnival Pride is not the largest Serenity Deck in the fleet, it does have some distinctive areas.
The bar
Of course, there is a bar. Because this is the aft bar, it is a large bar. It includes the serenity drinks and has a serenity bar menu, but it is a full bar that serves pretty much everything
The tables
There is a row of tables by the bar. These are a place to snag a little outside seating for the buffet. It’s not a large space, but it is completely covered and is a nice space to sit outside for a while.
The couches and chairs
There is a row of the comfy couches and chairs that you find in the Serenity areas on Carnival. They stretch across the entire Aft of the ship. While there are tons of them, they are so popular that on busy days they really can get covered up.
Loungers
There are several rows of loungers, both that face the ocean and that face inwards towards the pool. Some of the lounge chairs are under pergolas so they include a tiny bit of shade, but others are fully open to get all of the glorious sunshine.
Pool
There is a pool and two hot tubs. Fun fact – sometimes the pool is heated. The pool is a standard size and depth to what you would see on most Carnival Cruise ships. But it doesn’t have kids or even teenagers, so that’s nice.
Clamshells
Along the back of the ship there is a row of clamshells. This is a great spot to have some privacy and stare out into the ocean.
While it is not the largest Serenity Deck, the Serenity area on the Carnival Pride has lots of different types of seating. It is a great space to hang out in different types of weather and is one of my all time favorite Serenity Decks!
